The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Site Assistant to join the established Site Team. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties including carrying out first line repairs and maintenance, lettings supervision, site security, porterage and some cleaning. The ability to work without supervision is essential.
- This post is full time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) on a shift basis. Hours may be variable to suit needs of the job and include a split shift, AM and PM working pattern.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as key holder, carrying out security procedures for the buildings and grounds. The routine and non-routine opening of premises and grounds.
- Responding to calls outside normal working hours as a result of break-ins etc. and/or the setting off of the burglar alarm.
- Providing access, where possible, to the premises and classrooms in the event of snow or minor flooding or similar emergency situations.
- Dealing with enquiries from staff and visitors.
- Liaising with emergency services where required in the absence of the line manager.
- Liaising with contractors where appropriate and inform line manager or Operations Manager, if available, of their presence.
- Covering for the other members of the site team in their absence.
We\βre looking for you if you have:
- Have experience of caretaking and/or buildings maintenance and security
- Have the ability to manage your own time effectively and demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach
- Experience of Health & Safety procedures and codes of practice
- The ability to carry out first line repairs and maintenance
- Experience of leading a team
