The Governors of Great Dunmow Primary School are seeking to appoint a SEND LSA to work 1:1 with a child with learning and speech and language needs. Experience of working with pupils with SEND is preferred. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible, a relevant LSA training qualification
- Experience in working 1:1 with children with additional needs
- A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour
- Good communication skills, patience and being motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability
You will be expected to:
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure progress of identified pupils
- Keep up to date with changes and developments in education relevant to the role
- Work in collaboration with other colleagues
