A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an experienced and driven SEND Learning Support Assistant to our school. This role is integral to the teaching team, working directly with the children's teacher and using initiative to enhance teaching and learning quality for pupils.
Responsibilities:
- Work with pupils across the learning spaces, implementing our Hygee approach and national curriculum.
- Support pupils to access learning across the curriculum through in‑class support and targeted one‑to‑one support.
- Build positive and nurturing relationships across all year groups.
Qualifications:
- At least one year’s experience working with SEND children in the primary age range.
- Understanding of children with SEND needs.
- Experience working in an engaging learning environment.
- Proactive, positive, enthusiastic and flexible to work creatively in support of children.
- Hold a GCSE qualification in Maths and English, or equivalent.
