As a Science teacher, you will work with the team to contribute to an innovative curriculum that delivers student‑centred outcomes. We are looking for someone with a real passion for Science that inspires learners.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Science across the relevant year groups in accordance with the national curriculum and the school’s plans for achievement.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that foster enquiry, critical thinking and investigation skills.
- Plan and assess learning outcomes, using a range of techniques to support student progress.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the department’s development.
- Participate in safeguarding and wellbeing activities and support the development of a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & experience
- Qualified teacher (PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent).
- Teaching experience (or ECT status) in Science at any stage of education, preferably at secondary.
- Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for Science.
- Evidence of commitment to student‑centred learning and effective assessment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
