As a Science teacher, you will work with the team to contribute to an innovative curriculum that delivers student‑centred outcomes. We are looking for someone with a real passion for Science that inspires learners.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Science across the relevant year groups in accordance with the national curriculum and the school’s plans for achievement.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons that foster enquiry, critical thinking and investigation skills.
• Plan and assess learning outcomes, using a range of techniques to support student progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the department’s development.
• Participate in safeguarding and wellbeing activities and support the development of a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & experience

• Qualified teacher (PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent).
• Teaching experience (or ECT status) in Science at any stage of education, preferably at secondary.
• Strong subject knowledge and an enthusiasm for Science.
• Evidence of commitment to student‑centred learning and effective assessment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
