Newport Primary School is looking for Governors to help support and guide the school. The role of governor can be demanding, but is rewarding and a great way to give back to the community. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in making a positive contribution by strategically supporting the school so that we are the first choice for parents in the area, our children succeed and thrive, and everyone has a passion for learning.
The Governors at Newport Primary School are a sociable, dedicated group. No special qualifications are needed. What’s most important is that you have the interest, skills and commitment to help drive school improvement and the passion to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children. Governors join our curriculum or resources committees and also take on specific responsibilities within the board. We meet once per term as a whole board. We can offer support and training if you have not been a governor before. A discussion with the Chair of Governors can be arranged if you would like to find out more.
