Due to the retirement of our long-standing Early Years Lead, White Hall Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated Early Years Foundation Stage Lead to take strategic and operational responsibility for the whole Foundation Stage.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner with a strong EYFS background to lead, develop and further strengthen early years provision across the academy.
The role
- Overall leadership and management of the EYFS, including curriculum, assessment and outcomes
- Supporting and developing staff to ensure consistently high-quality practice
- Working closely with senior leaders to contribute to whole-school improvement
- Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and statutory EYFS requirements are fully met
Teaching commitment:
- Full time: teaching commitment of two days per week
- Part time (three days): non-teaching leadership role
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with substantial EYFS experience
- Have strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate a secure understanding of effective early years pedagogy and assessment
- Be committed to high expectations and improving outcomes for all children
- Thrive as part of a collaborative and supportive team
- Oversee SEN for the School Nursery
