About the Role

Olivers Lodge Nursery is seeking a passionate, experienced, and caring Baby Room Leader to lead our baby room team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who is committed to providing exceptional care and creating a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, happy, and valued.

As Baby Room Leader, you will lead by example, inspire your team, and ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and wellbeing for every child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support the Baby Room team to deliver outstanding childcare.
  • Plan and provide high-quality care and age-appropriate learning experiences for babies.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that supports children's development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
  • Support the professional development of team members through guidance and mentoring.
  • Ensure all nursery policies and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements are followed.

Person Specification

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years.
  • Have previous experience leading or supervising a team within a baby room.
  • Be passionate about working with babies and supporting their early development.
  • Demonstrate a nurturing, child-centred approach to childcare.
  • Have excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Be committed to delivering outstanding care and making a positive difference every day.
