Wentworth Primary School is a welcoming, well-resourced and supportive two form entry primary school, situated in the heart of Maldon. We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and visionary Headteacher with presence and drive to lead our successful primary school and build on the many achievements of this large, oversubscribed school, following the retirement of our existing Headteacher.
Our School is proud to be child-centred, inspiring our pupils to be curious and have high expectations for themselves. Wentworth Primary School serves 435 children aged 4–11 and their families. The school has a “Good” Ofsted rating, with many outstanding features and is well placed to achieve the Expected standard to Strong standard in the seven areas in our next Ofsted Inspection.

We are looking for a Headteacher who:
- has proven experience in effective leadership within a primary setting
- has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong partnerships with pupils, parents, staff and governors
- will inspire staff through collaborative, empowering leadership and will model a culture where wellbeing, professional growth and innovation are central
- will inspire all our pupils to strive to reach their full potential and be ready for the next stages of education
- possesses a clear vision to continue to drive our school forward and has the ability to maintain the momentum of success at the school and plan an innovative strategic future in partnership with staff, pupils, parents and governors
