Responsibilities
- Work with individuals or small groups of children with SEND under the direction of teaching staff
- Demonstrate competence in implementing planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with colleagues, adjusting activities according to pupil\’s response
- Be able to support pupils with literacy and numeracy skills
- Promote the inclusion of children with SEND both within the classroom and during non class-based learning, ensuring access to learning through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources
- Help children with social, welfare and health matters
- Be resilient and positive, showing initiative and flexibility to have excellent inter-personal and communication skills

Prince Avenue Academy and Nursery is a two form entry primary school with a 52 place nursery. Occupying a large site close to the A127 with extensive grounds and facilities, we are part of the South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT).
Prince Avenue Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, medical clearance and an enhanced DBS. All members of staff are required to complete a Childcare Disqualification Declaration.
