We are seeking an experienced or aspiring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our talented and supportive team at St Francis Catholic Primary School. As an LSA, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pupils' educational, welfare and social needs, working collaboratively with our teaching staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children. They are ready to learn, exceptionally well‑behaved, kind and inquisitive – they are keen to attend their safe and happy school and enjoy the care and support provided by all staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide small group and individual support, using your expertise to enhance the learning experience of our pupils
  • Support children with SEND needs in their classrooms or other safe learning spaces
  • Demonstrate a calm and fair approach, fostering positive relationships with our pupils
  • Communicate effectively with teacher colleagues to best support the children
  • Actively participate in the wider life of the school, contributing to the vibrant and inclusive Catholic community

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant LSA qualification or equivalent experience as an LSA or a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • A good understanding of the educational, welfare, and social needs of primary school pupils
  • Commitment to supporting children and promoting their academic, social and emotional development
  • Passion for education and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of our pupils

Hours, Salary and Benefits

Hours: 25 hours per school week – term time and 5 INSET days. Salary based on experience.
