An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly school as a Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will be working with pupils in a thriving special school for pupils with moderate and complex needs. Someone with a caring, enthusiastic, flexible nature, combined with a sense of humour would be ideal. Experience of working with pupils with special needs would be an advantage. English and Maths at GCSE level C or equivalent are required for this post.

Hours and Terms

  • You will work either:
  • Monday to Friday 8.50am to 3.05pm (30 mins unpaid lunch), plus Tuesday 3.15pm to 4.15pm for a staff meeting. 29 hours 45 mins per week, term time only
  • or Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.05pm (30 mins unpaid lunch), plus Tuesday 3.15pm to 4.15pm for a staff meeting. 31 hours 25 mins per week

The hours to be worked will be confirmed at interview, but please state if you have a preference.

Cedar Hall School is an innovative and forward-looking all-age (5-16) Special Foundation School, which provides education for pupils who primarily experience global, moderate learning difficulties, but may also experience a range of other needs such as autistic spectrum disorders and speech and language difficulties.
