Job Description

This is an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to join our established ICT team at The King John School.

As an IT Apprentice you will assist in providing technical support to ensure smooth IT operations across the school.

We are looking for a proactive individual with a passion for working with IT and the initiative and ability to undertake tasks.

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, focused and able to work to deadlines. Excellent organisation, communication and computer skills are essential.

Your role will include

  • Providing frontline IT support across the school.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Recording and tracking support requests within the IT service system.
  • Collaborating with staff to resolve technology issues and improve IT processes.
  • Supporting the Officer as part of the school’s communications and technology teams.

Our IT Apprentice will be enrolled onto an IT Support Apprenticeship, aiming to achieve Level 3 in IT Support and a Professional Qualification in Microsoft.

Tutoring will be undertaken virtually.

Working within this role will help you strengthen your software skills and gain valuable front‑line experience while collaborating with a supportive team.

You will need to demonstrate and uphold the school's PRIDE core values of Positivity, Resilience, Integrity, Dignity and Equality to support the character development of all students.

Here at The King John School we pride ourselves on our high standards and performance. Experience within an education setting would be useful, but full training is provided.
