St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School invites a dynamic and inspirational Head of School to join from 1st January 2027. As a caring and friendly community grounded in Catholic ethos, the Head of School will work alongside the Local Governing Body and the Rosary Trust to shape the strategic direction of the school and provide day‑to‑day leadership and management. St Joseph’s mission is to offer every child a high standard of education, meeting individual needs in a caring and loving community that celebrates faith.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the school’s operation, ensuring day‑to‑day leadership and strategic direction.
- Promote a child‑centred vision and nurture an inclusive, aspirational, and ambitious culture for students and staff.
- Share leadership responsibilities with the Local Governing Body and Rosary Trust, maintaining strong partnerships with parents and the parish.
- Champion a curriculum that inspires teachers and engages students.
- Provide inspirational, strategic and professional leadership, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
- Ensure safeguarding is consistently upheld, demonstrating secure knowledge of all safeguarding matters.
- Coach and mentor staff, working hard to support and challenge every child to maximise their potential.
Qualifications & Experience
- Practising Catholic, passionate about faith and spirituality, and able to lead inspirational Catholic education based on Gospel values.
- Outstanding leadership experience as a Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher or Assistant Head Teacher.
- Strong commitment to partnership with parents and the parish.
- Proven track record of providing strategic and professional leadership.
