We are looking to recruit some Mid Day Assistants to work in this school for children with severe and profound learning difficulties. Applicants should ideally have some experience in a related field and an understanding of children with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. You should also have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a team, and have a willingness to learn and take on new skills.

This position is from Monday to Friday, term time only, hours 12 noon to 1.30pm. Actual annual salary from £4,268.91 (for less than 5 years service with ECC) and £4,396.05 (for more than 5 years with ECC).

Shorefields School caters for the needs of pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 177 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton-on-Sea close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
