Horndon-on-the-Hill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to facilitate student learning in the classroom. Horndon-on-the-Hill Primary School is a member of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust with twelve member schools within Essex. All schools in the Trust work in equal partnership and are members of the schools' Co-operative Society. Our Co-operative Values focus on enabling all students to achieve their potential both academically and as young people.

Success Criteria

  • The ability to communicate effectively while maintaining a calm and professional manner
  • The ability to build strong professional relationships with the children and their families
  • A willingness to take part in class planning and adapt it to the needs of the child where applicable
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Good basic English and Mathematics (GCSE 4-9 or equivalent preferable)
  • The ability to communicate with parents and to attend professional meetings where required
  • Good record keeping skills (Progress and medical where required)
  • A passion for the impact teaching and learning can have on improving life
  • A commitment to supporting the delivery of education to the highest standard
