We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work directly with our students to deliver a high-quality phonics programme. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the literacy development of students who require additional support with reading, spelling and phonics.

The successful candidate will need to have experience of supporting students with literacy difficulties and understand how literacy barriers impact learning across the curriculum. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional phonics interventions, supporting students to develop the foundational literacy skills needed to access the wider curriculum and achieve their full potential.

You will need to strive to demonstrate, embed and uphold the school's PRIDE core values of Positivity, Resilience, Integrity, Dignity and Equality in order to support the character development of all students.

Here at The King John School we pride ourselves on our excellent high standards and performance. Whilst experience within an education setting would be useful, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

We can offer you:

  • A dedicated, enthusiastic, friendly and experienced hardworking team of staff
  • The opportunity to develop within a highly effective multi academy trust
  • Free Benenden Medical Healthcare cover
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
