This exciting role will involve working across a range of employer settings, including The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, where you will support a number of Harlow College interns studying on the Supported Internship programme. As a Supported Internship Job Coach, you will work closely with employers, teams, and placement providers to maintain meaningful work placements for interns.
You will provide day-to-day support within the workplace, helping interns to develop confidence, independence, and the practical skills needed for employment. The role requires experience of working within a range of work environments and supporting individuals to build employability and vocational skills through practical work experience opportunities.
You will help interns develop key workplace behaviours, communication skills, and job-specific abilities, enabling them to progress towards sustained paid employment. You will also support interns with job applications, interview preparation, travel training, and workplace routines, while building positive relationships with employers to ensure successful outcomes for both interns and placement providers.
A full driving licence is preferred, but not essential, as the role involves travelling between a variety of placement locations.
