Katherines Primary Academy is seeking a Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner to work 35 hours a week during term time and provide inset days. The role requires a strong commitment to the Early Years Foundation Stage, with experience in nursery or reception settings and a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent). The successful candidate will be a role model who sets high expectations and motivates pupils to achieve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, run, and assess small group work in line with EYFS outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to share children's progress.
  • Use the EYFS Curriculum and an emerging understanding of Key Stage 1 to support learning journeys.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and welfare in the early years setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with young children in nursery and reception settings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Clear commitment to high expectations for all children.

Salary and Hours

Salary negotiable (part time 4–11 hrs dependent on responsibility level). For full‑time (FTE): £25,914 – £28,871. Hours: 35 hours a week (term time only) plus inset days.
