We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and professional team at St John the Baptist in Pebmarsh. This position is for 15 hours per week, term time only. (The 3 hours will be set with the successful candidate and will be in a block of 3 hours per day). This position is initially fixed term for the academic year linked to funding; there is a possibility of extension.
Salary Scale 3 point 6. Applicants should have experience working with children in a school environment. This role will be a 1:1 role working with a range of EHCP children to meet needs and focus on targets. It is essential that you have GCSEs (grades A-C) in both Maths and English, or hold equivalent qualifications in this area.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Enthusiasm to work with children with a variety of different personalities and skill levels.
- Able to engage well with pupils.
- Able to work under your own initiative.
- Smartly presented and with excellent time management skills.
