SEND LSA 17.5 hours per week - Scale 4 Point 8-9

(actual salary £10,278 - £10,442 per annum)
Required for 38 weeks per year 8:30am-12pm

Required for lunch duty from 12-1pm (actual additional salary £2,845 to £2,890)

Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2027

The Governors of Great Dunmow Primary school are seeking to appoint a SEND LSA to work 1:1 with a child with learning and speech and language needs. Experience of working with pupils with SEND is preferred. We are a friendly, happy and caring school and are looking for a candidate who will contribute to our very effective learning environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths and if possible, a relevant LSA training qualification
  • Experience in working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • A patient and positive attitude, along with a good sense of humour
  • Good communication skills, patience and being motivated to encourage pupils to achieve to the best of their ability

You will be expected to:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to ensure progress of identified pupils
  • Keep up to date with changes and developments in education relevant to the role
  • Work in collaboration with other colleagues
