Responsibilities
- Provide efficient and effective support for a student with additional needs, helping them to access learning and engage positively in the school environment.
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure learning is accessible and appropriate for the child's abilities.
- Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school behaviour policy, supporting the child’s emotional and behavioural needs.
Qualifications
- Understanding of children within an educational setting and the ability to support them effectively.
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Commitment to achieving the best for every child.
- Highly motivated.
- Good standard of education: Maths and English GCSE grades A-C or equivalent.
- Ability to follow direction while being proactive and using own initiative.
- Patience, a sense of humour and flexibility.
- Preferably some experience working with young children.
