Term time only plus 2 days for INSET - 8:25am to 3:45pm Monday - Friday.
Salary: SCP 3 (£12.73 per hour) - SCP 5 (£13.06 per hour)
Key Responsibilities
- Health, Safety & Safeguarding
Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment at all times.
Adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Carry out daily risk assessments and report any concerns to management. - Personal Care
Support children with personal care routines including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
Maintain dignity and respect for each child at all times. - Partnership with Parents
Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress and welfare.
Encourage parental involvement in the nursery. - Teamwork and Communication
Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a balanced curriculum.
Attend team meetings, training sessions, and contribute to planning and improvement discussions. - Administration
Keep accurate and up-to-date records including observations, learning journals, accident forms, and attendance logs.
Follow nursery policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
- Clear enhanced DBS check.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
