As a School Facilities Manager, you will
- Ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained every day.
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and site improvement works.
- Open and close the school site and act as a key holder, responding to emergency call‑outs where required.
- Support statutory compliance by carrying out routine health and safety, fire safety and site inspections.
- Monitor contractors on site and report larger maintenance issues through the Trust's facilities management system.
- Prepare the school for events and support the day-to-day operational needs of the academy.
What we're looking for
- Experience in premises, facilities or building maintenance.
- Good practical DIY and maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and site security.
- Someone who is organised, reliable and able to prioritise their workload.
- A team player with excellent communication skills who can also work independently.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and maintaining high standards across the school site.
