St John's is a co-educational Independent School for pupils aged between 2 and 16 years. We are proud of our educational provision and offer you the opportunity to join our successful school as a full-time, caring, and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Kindergarten or Junior School. We are looking for an applicant with a genuine passion to nurture and encourage young children. Working well within our friendly and supportive team is essential. We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff to share this commitment.

Hours and days of work:

  • Role 1: Junior School Monday to Friday 8:45am to 3:30pm - This is a full-time position working term times only. There may be potential to increase hours as the academic year continues.
  • Monday to Friday 10:30am until 1:30pm - This is a part-time position working term times only. There may be potential to increase hours as the academic year continues.

You must:

  • Be enthusiastic about supporting children to learn and be happy.
  • Be a positive role model.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a school environment would be an advantage.
  • Be an inclusive member of staff who can adapt their approach to ensure every child feels understood and supported.
  • Be committed to following our safeguarding policies and procedures.
