We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The successful candidate will become part of our friendly and hard-working team which is dedicated to ensuring our children learn well and are well cared for.

The role will involve working with children individually, in small groups and in classes, including teaching some classes when teachers have release time. The role also has an important pastoral element which involves providing a "listening ear" and some support to children that are finding some emotions and life experiences a challenge.

Scale 3: £25,989 - £26,403, which is £13.47 - £13.69 per hour. Part time, 32.5 hours per week Fixed Term until 31/08/2027 Term time plus inset days.

Please note St Osyth is moving to a two-week October half term from September 2026. Monday to Friday: 8:30am- 3:30pm (with 30 mins lunch break).

Information about the School: We are a primary school in a rural location just twenty minutes from Colchester and ten minutes from Clacton. We are an academy with the Vine Schools Trust and so have the support of the trust and of the diocese.

All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure, suitable references and a pre-employment medical check.
