Shorefields School, a highly rated institution (graded as "outstanding"), caters for 165 pupils with severe learning difficulties. We are looking for an ECT class teacher (SEN) starting 1st September 2026. Early Career Teachers transferring from mainstream schools are welcome to apply, but must have SEN experience. The ideal candidate will have a positive work ethic, be motivated, bring a sense of humour, and be eager to learn quickly. This will be a fixed‑term contract for one year commencing 1st September 2026.

School overview: Shorefields School caters for pupils with a range of severe learning difficulties. We currently have 177 pupils on roll aged between 3 and 19 years. The school is located in the centre of Clacton‑on‑Sea, close to the beach and shopping area. Our catchment area extends to the whole of the Tendring peninsula.
