We have a unique and rare opportunity to appoint Academic Tutors in Biology. The role of the Academic Tutor is to provide academic support and targeted intervention for KS4 and KS5 students in the school. These posts complement our ongoing programme. Our students are high achievers who are focused, hardworking and self-motivated; many go on to further study at top universities. Progress 8 is outstanding with the latest figure of +0.99, ranking the school as one of the highest achieving state schools in the country.
Colchester County High School for Girls is a selective girls' grammar school and part of the Alpha Trust. Information about the School: Colchester County High School for Girls is part of Alpha Trust. It is a selective state school for academically able students aged from 11 to 18 years which consistently achieves public examination results at the highest level and Ofsted 'Outstanding'. Admission to the school is via the 11+ examination in Year 7; the school also admits academic students into the Sixth Form. The school is lead for the North East Essex Teaching School Alliance and Colchester Teacher Training Consortium is based on the site. Situated a mile to the west of central Colchester, the school is set in its own extensive grounds on a large, quiet campus.
