Colchester Academy is a thriving secondary school, looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and driven Teacher of Geography to join its dedicated and growing Humanities team. The successful candidate will help continue to raise standards across the school and to drive the Humanities faculty further on its already successful journey. Colchester Academy is a secondary school located in the heart of Colchester, Essex, and is graded 'GOOD' by OFSTED (2018 and 2023). Part of a local Academy Chain, Penrose Learning Trust, this is an incredibly exciting time for us to appoint someone who is hardworking, has high levels of integrity and passionately believes in the power of education to change lives.

  • Drive the Humanities faculty forward on its existing successful journey and deliver excellent teaching.
  • Engage in a knowledge rich curriculum rooted in evidence-based pedagogy; promote high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Participate in Colchester Academy’s CPD and professional development opportunities.
  • Commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
