We’re looking for an exceptional Teacher of Design & Technology to cover maternity leave for up to 1 year (until June 2027). We welcome applications from both experienced professionals and Early Career Teachers.

A Day in the Life:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, well-structured Design & Technology lessons to pupils at KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering engaging Design & Technology lessons that are adapted and will engage students in the learning process
  • Maintaining an understanding of curriculum developments in the subject
  • Contributing to the pastoral work of the school through the role of Form Tutor

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience of teaching Design & Technology
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable for this post but not essential with the right candidate
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring future generations
  • Experience of and commitment to the education of the whole person, promoting social and emotional well-being in addition to academic development
  • Ideally you will be prepared to teach a small number of lessons in Humanities alongside your DT role.
