Behaviour Support Worker for the GROW Provision (Secondary, Stanway site). You will work with students with social and emotional wellbeing needs in the Secondary GROW enhanced provision. The role is based at the Stanway School grounds in Colchester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist educational support for KS3 children whose needs are related to social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Enable children to make demonstrable progress in their social and emotional development and learning, building on their strengths and resources.
  • Develop, nurture and model positive adult and peer relationships in line with GROW's values and expectations.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection matters are dealt with in line with policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Communicate with parents/carers to ensure partnership working progresses and regular purposeful reviews take place.
  • Work flexibly and creatively as required.
  • Contribute to outreach work within North East Essex Schools, working with pupils and staff where appropriate.
  • Contribute to assessment, planning, monitoring and evaluation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 in learning support/behaviour support or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Proactive contribution to a team supporting children, families and carers.
  • Ability to assess progress and performance and recommend appropriate strategies to support development.
  • Strong rapport‑building skills and ability to establish respectful relationships with children, families, carers and other adults.
