An opportunity has arisen for a 1:1 LSA position at Moreton C of E Primary School. This role is offered on a fixed term basis to support a pupil with moderate needs. We are seeking to appoint a compassionate, experienced and proactive learning support assistant to join our hard-working and friendly team. We are looking for someone who will provide a positive and consistent approach and share our Christian vision that our children will nurture and grow to pursue excellence in all areas.
In this role, you would be working with a child who has an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) either on a one to one basis or with them in a small group. The ideal candidate will have a key role in helping to deliver the individualised provision outlined in the child's EHCP, supporting their social, emotional and academic development within a nurturing and inclusive environment. The post is for 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 9.00am- 1.15pm. Term time only.
Applicants should have:
- a high standard of written and spoken English
- a strong work ethic with flexibility to respond positively to challenges
- a calm and motivated attitude with a clear understanding of the needs of children, including those with additional needs
- experience of supporting children with ASD
- high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all pupils
- a commitment to the Christian ethos of the school
