Trinity Road Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and highly effective teacher to join our dedicated team on a one-year fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who enjoys variety and wants to make a significant impact on pupils' learning and development. The successful candidate will primarily provide class cover to enable teachers' leadership, planning and management release time, whilst also delivering high-quality targeted support to some of our year groups with the greatest academic need.
For ambitious candidates, there may also be opportunities to gain valuable leadership experience through temporary phase leadership responsibilities during periods of maternity leave within the school.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will:
- Provide high-quality teaching and learning across the primary age range.
- Cover classes during teachers' PPA time, leadership release and other planned absences.
- Work closely with leaders and teachers to deliver targeted intervention and additional teaching support for year groups requiring accelerated progress.
- Use assessment effectively to identify gaps in learning and adapt teaching accordingly.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, ensuring high expectations of behaviour and achievement.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support our vision for continuous improvement.
- Potentially undertake temporary phase leadership responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and experience.
