We are looking for a passionate, friendly, reliable and enthusiastic qualified level 2 Swimming teacher to join our team. We offer small group lessons, and believe that keeping groups small benefits the swimmers. We have a great team with lots of opportunities to develop and progress.
Working Hours
- Tuesday 1pm - 6pm (Term time only)
Requirements
- Swim England or STA Level 2 swimming qualification
- National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers & Coaches (NRASTC) qualification or lifesaving qualification
- Confident with all aspects of teaching: nervous, additional needs, complete beginners and technique work
Responsibilities
- Deliver/assist group lessons of children from preschool and Primary age
- Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to
- Committed, passionate, loyal and must have the ability to create a good rapport with parents / carers and children
- Must be able to identify children's levels of ability and adapt activities and lessons as required
- Run sessions effectively and efficiently, setting up and maintaining equipment and adhering to Newlands Spring Primary and Nursery School safeguarding policy
- Provide feedback on swimmers when required
- Understand relevant health and safety legislation
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to appropriately correct behaviour of pool users where necessary
- Confidence and an approachable nature and be at least 18 years of age
- Light cleaning duties expected
