About the role:

Moulsham High School is a larger than average 11-18 comprehensive school where all students consistently achieve highly. Overall progress and attainment have been well above Essex and national averages for 8 years, consistently placing the school in the top 16% of all schools nationally. Responsibilities:

  • As Subject Leader, the successful candidate will be accountable for the outcomes reached by all students in business studies and economics, including those with SEND or who are disadvantaged.
  • Take up for both subjects at G.C.S.E. and A level is high.
  • The faculty also offers BTEC Business at Levels 2 and 3.
  • This role represents a fantastic platform for further promotion to Head of Faculty and beyond.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • We are looking for an experienced business studies specialist to lead our highly successful Business studies and Economics team.
  • The ability to also teach economics is desirable but not essential.
  • In line with the school's ethos Business Studies and Economics is staffed solely by subject specialists.
  • Staff are based in 3 adjacent classrooms, each of which is wireless networked, equipped with at least 1 SmartScreen and contains at least thirty computers.

All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical clearance and satisfactory references. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and is not suitable for anyone who has been barred from working with children.

Work Schedule: Full time, Permanent
