Jesters popular, long standing Out of School setting in Bicknacre is looking for a Part Time Playworker all year round for 3-4 Before and After School Club days per week, plus School Holiday Club. People who can bring the fun, awe, wonder, and make magical memories for our children.

Requirements:

  • You must hold a full driving licence and have your own car for taking and collecting children from our local schools and bringing them to the club.

We offer children from 4-12 years from numerous local schools a diverse range of activities in a social environment. Healthy meals and support are all part of our Breakfast and After School Club service.

Job overview: To create a safe, fun and welcoming play environment for all children aged 4 - 12 years old. To ensure the delivery of the highest quality Out of School Childcare service, achieving consistent standards of welfare, play and education to all the children in Jesters care.

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all children attending Jesters receive rich, stimulating and fun play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development in a safe, clean and inviting environment.
  • To develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and carers.
  • To ensure that safeguarding, Health and Safety, and GDPR are at the forefront of all working practices.
  • To be an advocate and champion for Jesters, and deliver play that enhances Jesters reputation for supporting equality, diversity and sustainability.
  • To ensure high standards of health, hygiene and infection control measures are actively maintained.
  • To be an active team player and maintain excellent working relationships to facilitate the best experience for the children on site.
  • To be a positive role model for children of all backgrounds.
