We are seeking to recruit a reliable Evening Cleaner & Lettings Officer who takes pride in their work. Hours are 22 per week: 4.15pm-8.45pm Monday-Thursday, 2.30pm-6.30pm Friday. Friday hours are negotiable. This is a dual role with responsibility for preparing for and overseeing evening lettings, cleaning duties and responsibility for locking up the site. The successful applicant will undertake a range of duties, maintaining a clean and inviting environment to ensure the delivery of high-quality facilities.

You will have strong customer service skills, you will work well with others and will have good practical cleaning skills. You will be responsible for your own section of the academy which you will clean on a daily basis. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare spaces as required for lettings in line with the lettings schedule
  • Meet and greet all hirers
  • Be a keyholder and lock up site when lettings finish at 8.30pm
  • Undertake cleaning duties which may include dusting, emptying bins, picking up litter, sweeping, washing, vacuuming, scrubbing, toilet cleaning
  • Restock facilities e.g. soap, paper towels. Report when stocks are low
  • Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during the school closures or other designated periods
  • Be flexible with hours of work when required

The post will suit a conscientious and committed individual, committed to providing a clean and safe environment for staff, students and lettings customers. It is a hands-on role that requires energy and passion for a spotless environment. You will also be dedicated to the security of our site, performing all necessary checks prior to locking up the site.

This is a full-time post paying £13.47 per hour, with 5 weeks holidays which are to be taken during school holiday periods. The pro-rata salary for this post is £15,452.92. An earlier start date can be negotiated.

Information about the School: Northwick Park Academy Trust consists of three schools on Canvey Island in Essex. All three schools sit at the heart of their communities and strive to provide an excellent standard of education. All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people. All positions will involve appropriate checks and clearances.
