Brentwood School is seeking a caring, professional and experienced part‑time School Nurse to join our pastoral team. The role involves providing high‑quality first aid and healthcare services to pupils and the wider school community, supporting the wellbeing of children with long‑term medical conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy.

Working Hours

Fridays, 8:00 am–5:30 pm during term time, plus Open Day (typically a Saturday in June) and all INSET days. Work will be both independent and collaborative, ensuring exceptional clinical care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver timely and effective first aid and nursing care to students and staff.
  • Manage and support pupils with long‑term medical conditions.
  • Document and report incidents, maintain health records, and prepare care plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents and external healthcare providers to promote student well‑being.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and relevant legislation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current nursing qualification.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
