The predicted salary is between 25147 - 27596 £ per year.
We would like to appoint a hard‑working and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to support pupils of all abilities within the after school club. Prior experience is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in the after school club during term‑time only (13 hours 20 minutes per week, Mon‑Fri 3:20pm‑6pm; hours may increase up to 15 depending on club uptake)
- Plan, facilitate and monitor games and activities that assist children’s development and learning
- Create a welcoming and safe environment for all participants
- Record attendance and incident reports as required
- Communicate with staff and parents about pupils’ progress and any concerns
- Ensure compliance with literacy, numeracy and technology use for all pupils
- Assist with basic first aid and health and safety practices
- Maintain a positive, supportive attitude and contribute to team spirit
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience working with children in school or early years settings
- Good knowledge of games and activities that support children’s development and learning
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Awareness of relevant legislation including child protection, confidentiality and health and safety
- A desire to make a positive difference in children’s lives
- Good reading, writing and numeracy skills; basic first aid knowledge; ability to use basic technology
- Proactive, flexible and a “can do” attitude
