As well as several collaborations and private label developments for leading designer and luxury brands.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Product Developer to support the development of seasonal collections across men’s and women’s outerwear, apparel and accessories. Working closely with the Head of Design and Production Manager, you will manage the product development process from initial concept through to production handover, ensuring products are delivered on time, to specification and within target costs. This role is ideal for someone who has gained experience within a fashion, outerwear or lifestyle brand and is looking to take ownership of product development within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development
    • Manage product development from design handover through to production approval.
    • Create and maintain tech packs and product specifications.
    • Track samples through multiple development stages.
    • Review prototypes and sales samples, ensuring all comments are communicated clearly to suppliers.
    • Support fit sessions and record fit comments.
    • Ensure products meet design intent, quality standards and commercial requirements.
  • Supplier Management
    • Liaise daily with factories, mills and trim suppliers.
    • Manage development timelines and critical paths.
    • Follow up on sample submissions and approvals.
    • Support material and trim sourcing initiatives.
  • Costing & Commercial Support
    • Monitor development costs against targets.
    • Review supplier quotations and cost breakdowns.
    • Work with Design and Production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Support product testing requirements.
    • Maintain accurate product data and development records.
    • Ensure products comply with brand standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Design and Production teams.
    • Assist in seasonal range reviews and development meetings.
    • Support handover from development into bulk production.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a Product Development role.
  • Experience working with apparel, outerwear or technical products.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience communicating directly with overseas suppliers and factories.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft applications.

Desirable

  • Experience with technical outerwear or performance apparel.
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials and sourcing practices.
  • Understanding of garment testing and compliance requirements.
