Shore Medical is a GP Super Partnership with 6 practices across Poole and Bournemouth. We aspire to offer exceptional care to our 58,000 patients and are innovative in our approach to developing new teams and pathways to ever improve how general practice is delivered.

We have a friendly and supportive team of more than 200 staff, with over 40 GPs, Pharmacists, Paramedics, Nurses, Mental Health specialists and our range of administrative staff.

  • Heatherview Medical Centre

Situated in beautiful Dorset with the prestigious Blue Flag beaches of Bournemouth and Sandbanks, the Jurassic coastline and a wealth of attractions and countryside to visit we are lucky to be in such a fantastic area.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Administrator to join our friendly team. This is a varied and rewarding role that provides high-level administrative support to both the Business Intelligence Lead and Business Manager, ensuring a professional, efficient, and confidential service at all times.

As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of projects, maintaining clear communication with managers and colleagues, and contributing to the smooth delivery of services across the network.

This is a permanent part time role based at our Heatherview Medical Centre.

Hours of work- 34 Hours per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8.30am-5.00pm & Tuesday and Thursday 8.30am-1.30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide a caring and efficient service to support our patients to signpost patients to sources of help, advocacy, and support, and to help people play an active role in managing their own health
  • Provide efficient and organised administrative support for the project team
  • To work with the Digital Care Co-ordinators on our Hypertension service
  • To support patients in ensuring they access the right services at the right time
  • Carry out clerical tasks, using both manual and computerised systems
  • Be a key contact in providing patients with access to healthcare professionals, information on appointments and assisting with other queries
  • Update patient records in a timely and accurate manner
  • Supporting with vaccination programme administration

Knowledge and experience

  • Previous experience within an Administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • A proactive approach in effectively managing priorities and workload
  • Ability to deliver high quality work whilst maintaining tight deadlines
  • An understanding of confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
