This is a full-time Homes Manager role based at our 3 bed EBD home in Birmingham, which is rated “good”. The home has an in house Clinical Psychologist and is supported by a full time RI.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations and management of the team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and deliver high-quality services.
  • Supervise staff, handle budgets, ensure the safety and well-being of residents, and address any maintenance or operational issues.
  • Liaise with families and professionals to ensure exceptional care and service delivery.
  • Be flexible and willing to support the team by being on shift as and when required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of compliance with Children’s Homes regulations and health & safety standards.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks and budget management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of multi-agency professionals.
  • Experience in social care or housing sector preferred.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in management or social care are beneficial.
  • Update regulatory records and ensure the young people’s records are maintained and reflective of their individual needs.
  • Lead a team and embed Trauma informed and PACE lead care.
  • Level 5 in leadership and management or agree to work towards it.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation such as the Children Act and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
