A UK manufacturer with a long track record in civil engineering materials is hiring a Sales Manager to grow sales across the South East. This is a field-based role focused on developing distributor relationships, increasing sales through existing accounts, launching new products into the market, and opening new opportunities in the region.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a South East territory via an established distributor network
- Spending most of the week out with customers: distributors, merchants, and key end users
- Increasing sales through existing accounts by building joint plans, improving range adoption, and driving repeat orders
- Bringing new products to market through the distributor network, including introductions, training, and supporting early wins
- Identifying new customers and bringing them into the network
- Supporting distributors with product knowledge, training, and customer activity to improve pull-through
What We’re Looking For
- Sales experience in civils, construction materials, infrastructure, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of distributor and/or merchant routes to market
- A proactive, energetic approach and genuine enjoyment of being customer-facing
- Confident negotiating, closing, and maintaining profitable accounts
- Solid territory planning and relationship-building skills
- Field sales within civil engineering products/materials a plus
