- A Day in a Life of our Sales Manager (London)
At Eat Club, we believe strong markets are built on strong teams.
As a Sales Manager, you sit right at the centre of that growth, leading a high activity field sales team that brings the best venues onto the platform while helping shape how we scale across the London area.
Your team looks to you for direction, clarity, and momentum.
You're the person setting the pace for how the team shows up in the market, how they engage venue owners, and how consistently they execute the playbook.
The work moves quickly and the markets are competitive, which means your role blends leadership with real execution.
You're helping reps refine their pitch, navigating objections from venue operators, and making sure opportunities move through the pipeline with pace and discipline.
You will personally own a high value revenue target for your team and be accountable for hitting it every month.
At the same time, you're feeding insights back into the business helping our Revenue, Marketing, and leadership teams understand what's happening on the ground and where the next opportunities lie.
This role isn't about managing from a distance.
It's about leading from the front, building a high performing team, setting a strong rhythm of execution, and helping Eat Club establish a meaningful footprint across the London area.
On any given week, you will be
- Start mornings reviewing pipeline and activity in Hub Spot, running stand ups with your team to align on priorities, deals in progress, and where support is needed.
- Spend time in the field with Business Development Managers, joining venue meetings, drop ins, and live pitches to help move deals forward and coach reps in real time.
- Work closely with UK leadership, Revenue, Marketing, and Rev Ops to refine local market strategies, sharing feedback from venues on pricing, objections, and competitive dynamics.
- Run structured one on ones and call reviews to help reps improve their pitch, accelerate deal progression, and maintain disciplined pipeline management.
- Travel across surrounding London areas to support launches in new markets, helping establish early traction and build strong venue pipelines.
- Enhance pipeline visibility and CRM discipline by working closely with Rev Ops to ensure accurate, up to date data entry, strong pipeline hygiene, and clear conversion metrics.
- Hold the team to clear activity and execution standards, ensuring outbound outreach, follow ups, daily CRM input, and conversion metrics stay on track.
- Track team progress against a weekly and monthly sales/revenue target, reporting shortfalls and course correcting quickly.
- Strengthen Eat Club's presence in the hospitality ecosystem by helping the team build strong relationships with venue owners and operators across London area.
- Type of projects you'll be working on at Eat Club
- Launching Eat Club into new London areas: Building venue pipelines, identifying priority neighbourhoods, and helping the team secure the first wave of restaurant partners.
- Refining the sales playbook: Improving outreach messaging, objection handling, and deal progression strategies based on what's working in the market.
- Scaling a high performing BDM team: Hiring, onboarding, and ramping new Business Development Managers while maintaining strong activity levels and conversion metrics.
You have .
- Over the last 2 3 years led a high activity field sales team with clear activity and revenue targets.
- Managed 6 10+ sales reps and helped them consistently hit performance goals, including carrying and delivering a high value team sales/revenue target.
- Worked in high velocity sales environments.
- Strong experience managing pipeline, CRM accuracy, and conversion metrics, including personally and directly inputting activity into a CRM (e. g.
Hub Spot) rather than relying solely on reps to log it.
- Confidence coaching sales reps in real customer conversations, not just through dashboards.
- It would be extra awesome if you also had
- Previously worked in hospitality, food tech, Saa S, or marketplace businesses.
- A strong network within the hospitality industry.
- A track record of supporting new city or market launches.
- You are
- A hands on leader who thrives on leading by example in the field.
- Highly structured and methodical in your approach, setting clear expectations for team activity, pipeline management, and execution standards.
- Committed to a high performance culture, comfortable with maintaining and demanding a strong results orientation.
- A trusted coach and mentor, providing guidance and support that your team feels comfortable seeking out.
- Deeply customer focused, enjoying time spent with venue owners to truly understand their motivations and decision making drivers.
- Ownership driven, taking personal responsibility for identifying and executing strategies to unlock market growth and traction.
Maybe this role is not for you if .
- You prefer a purely strategic or desk based management role.
- You're uncomfortable being closely involved in daily activity levels and execution.
- You don't enjoy working in environments where targets, metrics, and accountability are explicit.
- You're looking for rigid 9 5 hours rather than flexibility around customer operating times.
