We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven, and highly motivated Event Director with experience in healthcare, health technology, or healthcare innovation ecosystem to lead the end-to-end delivery and growth of HLTH Europe. This is a leadership role responsible for the overall success of the event—owning strategy, execution, revenue performance, and team leadership.
You will act as the driving force behind the event, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery to ensure HLTH Europe continues to scale as a best-in-class global event.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Event & Team Leadership
- Lead the overall event strategy and execution across marketing, sales, content, operations, strategic partnerships, and hosted buyer programmes ensuring alignment with the evolving healthcare and health technology landscape.
- Own and continuously evolve the master project plan, ensuring alignment across all functions.
- Run agile project cycles and “sprints” to deliver key milestones and drive momentum.
- Inspire, manage, and develop a cross-functional team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Be hands-on in delivery—comfortable executing as well as leading.
- Commercial Accountability
- Own and deliver the full event revenue across sponsorship, exhibition, hosted buyers, and delegate ticket sales.
- Work closely with the sales team to maximise all revenue opportunities and optimise performance.
- Actively contribute to sales, including closing high-value sponsorship deals with global brands and tech companies.
- Oversee pipeline management, sales reporting, and forecasting.
- Develop and evolve sponsorship inventory, including creating innovative, high-value commercial opportunities.
- Product Development & Innovation
- Continuously enhance the HLTH Europe event to ensure it remains industry-leading.
- Identify and implement new ideas across pricing models, content formats, audience experiences, and partnerships.
- Stay ahead of healthcare, digital health, AI, payer, provider, pharmaceutical, and policy trends shaping the future of healthcare innovation.
- Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring the event delivers exceptional value for all stakeholders.
- Business Development & Partnerships
- Build and maintain senior relationships with key industry stakeholders in healthcare and health technology, including brands, agencies, platforms, and associations.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships to expand the reach and influence of HLTH Europe.
- Act as an ambassador for the event within the global healthcare and technology ecosystem.
- P & L Ownership
- Own the full event P & L, ensuring strong financial performance and profitability.
- Manage cost control, budgeting, and team spend.
- Deliver accurate and timely revenue forecasting across all revenue streams.
- Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on performance and market conditions.
- Deep understanding of the global healthcare, technology and digital health landscape (ideally with exposure to the European market).
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams (minimum 3+ years).
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience delivering complex, large-scale events or projects.
- Demonstrated success in owning and exceeding commercial targets (revenue and profit).
- Strong sales capability, with experience closing high-value sponsorship deals.
- Experience launching or scaling event products, ideally in international markets.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindset.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
