A leading provider of innovative solutions for small and medium-sized businesses is looking for energetic, tech-savvy, and results-driven professionals to join its field-based Merchant Services Sales team as Business Consultants. What a successful business consultant will do:
- Proactively self-generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline by identifying and engaging with local SMBs through field activity, networking, and referrals. Consultants are expected to be confident in initiating conversations and uncovering opportunities independently.
- Take a consultative, value-driven approach to sales, working closely with merchants to understand their business operations, pain points, and growth goals. Use this insight to recommend tailored Clover software plans and complementary services that deliver measurable impact and long-term value.
- Position yourself as a trusted business advisor, guiding merchants through the Clover ecosystem - from payment solutions to business management tools and ensuring they adopt the right mix of products to streamline operations, enhance customer experience, and drive profitability.
- Drive long-term client success through relationship management and portfolio growth, maintaining strong connections with existing merchants and identifying opportunities for cross-consulting and upselling. As a key member of the Regional Sales team, you'll represent Fiserv's core values - acting with integrity, respect, and genuine care in every interaction.
What you will need to have:
- Prior experience in a quota driven self-sourcing sales environment for small to medium size clients.
- Focused on selling value rather than price, positioning Clover as a strategic partner.
- Capable of explaining technical features in simple terms and demonstrating product benefits.
- Extensive experience in cold-calling and ability to self-source leads.
- Self-source mentality with drive to identify and close on opportunities.
- Organised and disciplined in managing a geographic territory, planning visits, and tracking activity.
- Proven track record of achieving results and consistently hitting KPIs.
