The event model connects buy side and sell side through pre‑screened investment meetings supported by industry rich conference content and a weekly industry news platform The Assay that covers trends in metals and mining investment. 121 sits within the Energy Transition division of Hyve’s alongside sister brand Mining Indaba that is the largest industry conference and exhibition held annually on the African continent. Together the 121 and MI brands solidify Hyve’s industry leading position supporting stakeholders across the metals and mining sector.
The Investor Strategy Support Executive is a critical role in supporting investor acquisition, engagement, and event delivery across in‑person and Global Online events. This role focuses on execution, coordination, and investor experience, ensuring that investor pipelines are actively managed, registrations are tracked and converted, and events are delivered smoothly. The position provides essential operational coverage in global coverage, reduces execution risk during peak periods, and enables Investor Acquisition Managers to focus on proactive outreach and relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Investor Operations & Pipeline Management
- Produce weekly investor registration and engagement updates
- Maintain and update all corporate and investor master lists for IA
- Manage and execute soft renewal campaigns
- Update and reconcile registration data, ensuring all excel trackers remain accurate and up‑to‑date
- Upload and manage new investors and corporate participants within the meeting planner
- Act as a central point of coordination for investor data accuracy and reporting across regions
- Event Management
- Own investor set up and ongoing management of meeting software
- Assist with meeting booking, rescheduling and optimisation
- Support investor communications related to meeting requests, changes etc
- Assist onsite with delivery
- Event Support
- Support all 121 Mining Investment investor engagement activities including:
- Calling and emailing investors to encourage meeting activity
- Supporting meeting booking and fulfilment
- Manage last‑minute changes
- Provide operational support across additional events as required
- Strategic Support & Partnerships
- Support with identifying strategic partnerships
- Support research into investor groups and potential partnerships that can drive investor attendance
- Help maintain investor relationships to improve retention.
- Cross‑functional collaboration
- Work closely with IA, Sales, Marketing, Content and operations.
- Assist with onboarding and support of new Investor Acquisition hires
Skills and Experience required
- Experience in investor relations, corporate access, event operations or capital markets support
- Strong organizational and data management skills
- Comfort working across Hubspot, Excel, Meetmax/Grip
- Confident communicator
- Ability to operate calmly under pressure
