About the Portfolio

Through our market‑leading events, the Edtech portfolio is playing a pivotal role in improving education globally.

The Bett and ASU+GSV edtech portfolio of events helps technology vendors connect to more leaders and buyers from across the education and workforce learning landscape.

The opportunity to advance education and personalized learning through use of edtech and innovation in AI is huge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of global marketing and audience strategies for the Bett UK and Asia events, including brand marketing, lead generation, delegate and attendee acquisition, growing visitor/buyer communities and customer retention strategies, and the development and management of the Strategic Marketing Plan.
  • Explore opportunities to work closely with Bett Brasil and ASU+GSV’s marketing, program and community team to enhance marketing reach across the portfolio.

• Leadership, team management and cross‑functional collaboration

  • Manage, mentor and lead a growing, dynamic and fast‑paced global marketing and registration team in combination with the NNG Central Marketing Team.
  • Ensure the optimal management of marketing resources and the delivery of marketing KPIs across the team and the Bett UK and Bett Asia events.
  • Work with the NNG Divisional Marketing Director responsible for central automation, digital experience and creative teams to ensure optimal resourcing to deliver against teams’ strategic marketing plans.

• Budget, financial, business growth and reporting responsibility

  • Accountable for Bett UK and Asia marketing budget and spend, ensuring this delivers the required commercial results and ROI.
  • Drive customer focus and a culture of customer centricity across the team, ensuring all plans are underpinned by an understanding of customer needs, and market dynamics.
  • Develop growth marketing strategies and drive new customers to the edtech portfolio’s suite of products.

• Data strategy

  • Own the Bett UK and Asia data strategy, including the consolidation, optimisation and ongoing management of data pools across the product to drive customer growth and market coverage.

Develop the ICPs and data builds and deploy channel strategies to ensure the best mix in our ‘gold dust’ (buyers) and Bett audience.

• Registration

  • Optimise the registration system(s) across the Bett events (UK and Asia primarily) to drive data quality and improve customer insight and experience, working with central tech and marketing teams.
  • Champion the Hyve Marketing playbook, driving best practice, innovation and creativity across the team to improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Alongside the Portfolio Head of Growth will deliver revenue and commercial performance for Bett UK and Asia, chiefly driving top of funnel MQLs and delegate registrations.

Qualifications

  • B2B marketing leader with proven experience in high-performance marketing and inspiring teams.
  • Forward-thinking individual with expertise in audience development and data management and global market experience.
  • Experience of working within the education or technology sectors is desirable.
  • Proven track‑record of nurturing and coaching teams for results.
  • Proven experience of creating and delivering highly effective marketing strategies that deliver leads and revenue.
  • Experience in transforming globally recognised brands.
  • Experience of developing customer insight and improving customer experience.
  • Experience growing and nurturing communities or key audience groups and optimising the products and experiences that suit them best.
  • Experience in budget management, with an analytical, data-driven, and highly structured approach to decision‑making.
  • Ability to build relationships and work in a fast‑paced, changeable environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage team workload based on the priorities of the portfolio.
  • Results-focused, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics.
  • Proven track record in setting and hitting targets and KPIs with weekly reporting on performance updates.
  • Degree in business or marketing desirable.
