A bit about you: First things first: whatever your background, beliefs or ambitions, there’s a culture of belonging at Hyve – and everyone is welcome. The question isn’t where you’ve come from, but where you want to go. You’ll thrive here if you’re curious, collaborative and not afraid to challenge convention. We look for people who take pride in what they do, who are excited by change and always moving forward. The kind of people who stay open, keep learning, and look for better ways to make an impact. Our shared behaviours guide how we work: we dare to do things differently, own our work, embrace collaboration, stay true to ourselves and others, and remember that optimism wins. If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.
A bit about the role: The Event Operations Manager will deliver the end‑to‑end planning and execution across our 121 Mining Investment events, currently seven in total. For these established international events, you’ll be responsible for creating seamless, high‑quality experiences across every aspect of the event, from venue sourcing and liaison, AV and production, signage, security, stakeholder management, sponsorship delivery and customer experience. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role, and is ideal for a solutions and process‑oriented events professional. You’ll work closely with the Head of Operations, internal teams, and external partners to manage all technical and logistical components of the events, ensuring excellence across every touchpoint.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience running and launching B2B events in fast‑paced environments and is excited by the challenge of travelling and working internationally across this dynamic and important sector. You’ll need strong leadership, exceptional attention to detail, creativity and the ability to optimise budgets and operate confidently under pressure.
As part of your job, you’ll be:
- End‑to‑End Event Delivery: Oversee the operational delivery of all logistical elements; venue, AV, health & safety, signage, registration, security, and customer experience.

- Supplier Management: Act as the main liaison for contractors and suppliers; oversee timelines, deliverables, and contract fulfilment to ensure smooth and cost‑effective delivery.
- Exhibition Management: Effectively manage all areas of an event exhibition abiding to local health and safety practices and ensuring all elements are built to a high standard.
- AV & Content Operations: Lead AV and staging operations for all content sessions, in collaboration with the content team.
- 1:1 Meetings Programme: Assist with logistical setup of the hosted meetings programme and ensuring onsite delivery for hundreds of high‑value meetings.
- Customer Experience: Ensure the most proficient flow for customers from end to end and maximise their experience onsite.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets within operational scope, ensuring accurate forecasting, effective cost control, timely reconciliation, and optimisation of spend.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, best practice workflows and quality control.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Client Relations, Content, Marketing, Registration, Investor Acquisition / Engagement) to ensure every area of the event is operationally aligned and well‑executed.
Here’s what we’re looking for from you:
- Experience in B2B event operations delivering high‑quality events especially conference, meeting style events and/or exhibition.
- Experience owning event logistics including AV and production and delegate management.
- Experience of stand construction and be able to manage all areas of an exhibition.
