What does a successful Telesales Representative do?

A successful Telesales Representative at Fiserv connects with business customers by phone to protect and grow revenue while delivering exceptional client experiences.

You will represent our partner-in-possibility culture—working collaboratively, acting with integrity, and driving measurable outcomes.

What you will do

  • Conduct inbound and outbound B2B sales calls, maintaining high daily call volumes (50+ calls/day).
  • Drive attainment of revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities, promoting value-add solutions such as Clover from Fiserv, Payment Gateway, and DCC.
  • Overcome objections and negotiate terms using effective questioning techniques.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and ensure timely, error-free completion of applications.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and account teams to satisfy client requirements.
  • Support business lead initiatives, scheme rules, and industry compliance matters.

What you will need to have

  • Demonstrated high-volume telephone selling capability with consistent KPI and SLA focus (e. g. 50+ calls/day and target-driven outcomes).
  • Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills with measurable conversion focus.
  • Excellent verbal communication and relationship-building skills for B2B engagements.
  • Proven organization, time management, and attention to detail for accurate application processing.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and call-logging tools (e. g., Salesforce or similar) and comfort with metrics-driven dashboards.

What would be great to have

  • Background in inside sales or telesales environments.
  • Familiarity with merchant acquiring, payments, or financial services.
  • Experience promoting Clover from Fiserv, payment gateways, or DCC solutions.
  • Knowledge of card scheme rules, compliance requirements, or merchant onboarding processes.
