About your role

Fiserv is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the UK team, based onsite in Basildon.

Reporting to the Programme Director, this role will scope, plan, control and deliver complex projects and initiatives that meet defined business and client needs, while managing resources across multiple internal teams and, where required, third parties.

The role will drive high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring clear planning, governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement and transition to BAU.

  • What you’ll do
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex projects and programmes, ensuring outcomes are delivered to agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality and governance standards.
  • Create and manage high level and project plans identifying critical path and key dependencies
  • Track progress, costs, resources and work assignments, producing clear status updates on schedule, budget, benefits, risks, issues and scope.
  • Lead governance meetings, status reviews and quality reviews, ensuring decisions, escalations and corrective actions are managed effectively.
  • Key contact point for the client – help with client’s plan, identify risks and dependencies and find ways of mitigating them.
  • Guide the client with best practices; provide consultancy with key project phases.
  • Manage day-to-day client activities and escalations.
  • Think out of the box where delivery may have to be quicker minimizing the risk/impact to quality.

Experience you’ll need to have

  • A proven track record of delivering highly complex projects in a geographically dispersed business, ideally with experience in rollout management.
  • A practical understanding of financial and commercial fundamentals, with a focus on improving profitability, reducing waste and minimising expense within the role’s remit.
  • Technical competency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Power Point; experience with Jira is advantageous.

Experience that would be great to have

  • Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, APM or Agile PM
  • Experience in technology and the payments industry.
  • Knowledge of payments, such as acquiring, cards, credit, debit, POS, SWIFT, BACS, CHAPS, ISO and SEPA.
  • Experience working with external clients, partners, vendors or third-party suppliers.
